# Supported releases

Use the current Ixolate series for new installations. The media list and download
instructions are on [Clean install](/get-started/clean-install).

| Series | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 26.7 | current | new-install media require an eligible subscription and a one-time download grant |
| 26.1 | recovery only | not offered for new installations; recovery and migration to 26.7 are arranged with support |
| 25.7, 25.1, 24.7 | convertible | can be brought under Ixolate and then moved forward by support |
| 24.1 and older | not supported | reinstall from current media |

A new series appears roughly twice a year. Existing boxes stay on their current series until an administrator schedules the change. Customers install updates within the current series from **System › Updates & Subscription**. A series jump requires an approved support procedure.
